Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your purchase and use of Safe Standard®.

1. What Safe Standard® Is

Safe Standard® is documentation — not a platform, service, software, certification, or legal advice.

It is a professional rental documentation pack designed for direct, off-platform rentals and manual use.

Safe Standard® is not:

  • a rental platform or marketplace

  • software-as-a-service (SaaS)

  • an identity verification or e-signature solution

  • a legal advisory service or law firm

Templates may be used and customized by the buyer for their own rentals in any country, with no limitation on duration or number of rentals.

All agreements created using the templates are private contracts entered into directly between the rental parties.

Your purchase grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable, lifetime right of use.
Ownership of all templates and Country Annexes remains with Nordlöf Nordic.

2. Included Custom Rental Terms (Item-Specific)

Each purchase includes one (1) set of item-specific custom rental terms, written as the buyer’s own terms and adapted to:

  • the exact asset rented out, and

  • the stated rental country/jurisdiction.

Delivery

  • Delivered by email within 24 hours after the buyer submits the completed order form.

  • Delivery is one-time per purchase.

The included custom rental terms are part of the documentation service.
They do not constitute legal advice or legal representation.

The buyer is solely responsible for review, approval, and use of all rental terms, including any included custom rental terms.

3. Permitted Use

The documentation is intended for:

  • personal use, or

  • internal business use by the buyer.

You may use the documentation to rent out property, vehicles, event assets, equipment, or items directly, without platforms.

You may not:

  • share, distribute, resell, sublicense, bundle, or include the templates (in whole or in part) in any:serviceplatformsoftwarecommercial product

The same restrictions apply to the included item-specific custom rental terms.
They may not be reused for multiple assets or redistributed in any form.

These restrictions protect the integrity of the documentation and ensure fair licensing for all users.

4. Country Coverage and Compliance

Safe Standard® includes Country Annexes covering 206 jurisdictions.

For each rental:

  • the correct Country Annex must be selected, and

  • the rental country must be stated in writing in the agreement.

You are solely responsible for:

  • selecting the correct Country Annex, and

  • ensuring compliance with applicable local laws.

Failure to apply the correct Country Annex may affect enforceability.

5. Responsibility and Limitations

Nordlöf Nordic is not a party to any rental agreement, dispute, or claim.

You remain fully responsible for:

  • how the documentation is used

  • compliance with applicable laws

  • the content, execution, and outcome of any rental agreement

Nordlöf Nordic does not:

  • review or approve rental terms on your behalf

  • negotiate with renters

  • enforce agreements or claims

  • provide legal advice

The documentation provides structural and administrative support only.

6. Checkout, Delivery, and Refunds

Checkout and order processing are handled via Shopify on nordlofnordic.com, operated by Nordlöf Nordic.

Safe Standard® is delivered digitally.

By completing the purchase, you:

  • consent to immediate digital delivery, and

  • where applicable, acknowledge the loss of the statutory right of withdrawal under EU consumer law for digital content delivered immediately.

The included custom rental terms are delivered manually by email within 24 hours after complete form submission and are not part of the instant download.

Once digital delivery has occurred, all sales are final.

7. Intellectual Property

All templates, Country Annexes, and related materials are protected by copyright.

Unauthorized copying, sharing, redistribution, resale, or creation of derivative commercial works is prohibited.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Sweden.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms of Use shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sweden.

Privacy Notice

9. Checkout and Payment Processing

Checkout and payment processing are handled via Shopify, which acts as the e-commerce platform and data processor for checkout-related personal data.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe, integrated with Shopify.

Nordlöf Nordic does not store card details.

10. What Data We Process

We process only the personal data required to complete and deliver your purchase, including:

  • name

  • email address

  • billing details required for payment processing

Order data is retained only as required for:

  • accounting obligations

  • legal and regulatory compliance

11. What We Do Not Use

We do not use:

  • cookies for tracking or analytics

  • user accounts or logins

  • ID verification

  • profiling or marketing automation

12. What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store:

  • personal identification numbers

  • rental details

  • agreements, checklists, or signatures created by users

No rental documentation is uploaded to or stored by Nordlöf Nordic.

13. Data Security and GDPR

All payment data is handled by Stripe in accordance with GDPR and PCI-DSS standards.

Shopify and Stripe process personal data under their respective Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).

14. Your Rights

You have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data in accordance with GDPR.

Since personal data is processed only for checkout and legal compliance, most requests will be limited in scope.
